The Occupational Standards for Early Childhood Educators “How To Guide” outlines how to use the Occupational Standards for Early Childhood Educators to determine professional learning needs for your ELCC staff to augment the quality of your early learning environment, starting on page 16. The development of performance reviews, as outlined in the Occupational Standards for Early Childhood Educators, is an important step to determine individual PL needs of your staff. Reflecting on the Task Profile Chart in English or the Task Profile Chart in French, can help determine the areas where PL could be useful to your ELCC staff. 

These resources were developed in 2010 by the now dissolved Child Care Human Resources Sector. The outlines and content that were developed for these resources are still relevant to ELCC practises today.
