The Occupational Language Analyses: Child Care Administrators and Early Childhood Educators, developed by the Child Care Human Resources Sector Council in 2010, organises the professional skill sets required by early childhood educators (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) and breaks these skills down into ELCC environment specific competencies. This resource, starting on page 23, can be used in developing job ads, inclusive of job descriptions, for early childhood educators. Additionally, this resource can be used to inform the creation of performance reviews for ECEs, and subsequently used to determine professional learning needs.
