When renewing your CCS Certification, there are different guidelines depending on whether you are trainee level, levels 1-4, or if you’ve let your certification expire (click here if that's you). You can find the details on each set of guidelines on pages 19 and 20 of the Newfoundland and Labrador Child Care Services Certification Information Booklet, provided by the Association of Early Childhood Educators Newfoundland Labrador (AECENL).

Continuing professional learning is essential for ECEs because it helps us stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and policies in our field. As ECEs, we are responsible for helping young children develop their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills, and providing them with a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. Professional learning promotes ongoing reflection and self-assessment, helping us to identify areas for growth and improvement. It provides opportunities for collaboration and networking with peers, allowing us to share ideas and learn from one another. Through this collaboration and networking, we can build supportive professional relationships that can enhance their work and contribute to the growth and development of the field. These relationships encourage our enthusiasm and motivation for the important work that we do which lowers stress and helps us to avoid burnout.
